Zoë is a 19-year old singer and songwriter from Vienna, Austria. She grew up in a family of musicians. After graduating high school she immediately started a promising career as an actor and musician. Her debut album "Debut" was released in October 2015. Her favorite singers are Edith Piaf, Zaz and Beyonce. Her song "Loin d'ici" is in French and won the hearts of fans of Eurovision in her native country.

– Hello, Zoë! Congratulations on your victory! How do you feel days after the final in Austria?

– I feel very very good! I’m so grateful and honored to get the chance to represent my country at the Eurovision in Stockholm! Yesterday, I saw the stage that’s planned in Stockholm for the first time. So impressing! I start to realize that it’s really happening and that it wasn’t just a dream!

– Do you have a favorite song of all that has represented your country? And across Europe?

– From austrian contestants, I liked „Rise like a Phoenix“ (of course) and „Merci, Cheri“.

Across Europe: Loreen – Euphoria!

– Tell us more about your song. What is the message? How does it make you feel while you’re performing it?

– Loin d’ici is a song about a journey to an imaginary paradise – a place where everyone is happy singing and dancing. It’s not a physical place, more a state of mind.

The song is meant to radiate positive vibes to put a smile on the faces of those who listen to it! The song always makes me happy: When I lsiten to it and when I’m performing it.

– What will be your most powerful weapon in Stockholm?

– I don’t know… I will just give my best and hope that the Eurovision community likes me and my song.

– What inspires you?

– Art in general: A good book, a painting, a movie, music.

But also personal stories and nature.

– What do you want people in Europe to remember you with? What makes you different?

– I think, what makes me different, is that I sing in french although I am Austrian. For me, it’s like a signal of building bridges, exchanging languages, showing that we all in Europe are a big family of brothers and sisters when it comes to music.

– Do you consider what would be your performance on the stage? Can you give us more information?

– We work on this right now. We want to produce a colourful, minimalistic total work of art. Let’s see how it develops in the coming days and weeks. This is a great challange. I love it!

– What would you like to say to your Bulgarian fans?

– My dear Eurovision friends from Bulgaria! I hope to see you all in Stockholm in May! I’m looking forward to having a great music party full of love & respect!

Bisous Zoë!
